Sittard’s history is still tangible in the very heart of its city centre, where dramatic churches, medieval city walls and the sturdy walls of the Sanderbout Fortress boast its rich past. This cycle route also shows you Sittard’s alluring environment, such as the beautiful scenery on the German border and the village of Limbricht with its majestic castle. You can enjoy a nice meal in one of the many cosy restaurants, situated on Sittard’s bustling market square, and halfway the route you can replenish your energy at coffee house ‘’t Sjpoarhutje’ in the town of Nieuwstadt. This interesting cycle route starts at Sittard’s market square (Markt).
