During the dark winter days, the atmospheric Sittard Christmas Streets transform into a stage for beautiful art. As you stroll through the historic setting of the city center, you can follow an art walk that takes you past several galleries. Let yourself be carried away into a world where art speaks the language of imagination. The collection is as varied as it is surprising: from paintings and sculptures to jewel design, ceramics, textile art, stained glass objects, floral art, and even “unwearable” jewelry. Each piece tells its own story, full of craftsmanship and creativity. Come watch, wander, feel, lose yourself, and be guided through this ode to creativity in all its forms.
The art walk starts on the weekend of December 12 and 13 and continues for the following three weekends. The participating locations will open their doors from 12:00 to 17:00. Admission is free.
Of course, you are also welcome to enjoy the art walk during the week, though please note that not all locations may be open at that time.
Curious?
Information about the route and participating galleries will soon be available in the Sittard Christmas Streets brochure. You can pick it up at, among other places, the Visit Zuid-Limburg Experience Sittard-Geleen (Rosmolenstraat 2, Sittard), which also serves as the official starting point of the art walk.
