Premiere: The Mousetrap – with director Serhii Kastornykh
In The Mousetrap, you follow Anton, a Ukrainian soldier entering a war zone for the first time. He manages to reach a shelter, but shortly afterwards the entrance collapses after a direct hit from a grenade.
When he regains consciousness, he is seriously wounded and completely alone. Trapped underground in an enclosed space of only a few square meters, you experience his struggle up close. With everything at his disposal, he tries to find a way out of this deadly trap.
Director, writer and co-producer Serhii Kastornykh served in the Ukrainian army himself and transformed his experiences into this gripping feature film. On Tuesday, March 24, he is present for an introduction and a Q&A session, giving you deeper insight into the story and the making of the film.
