Kris Pruive Sittard

As the days grow shorter, Kerkplein, at the foot of the Grote Kerk, transforms into a charming Christmas market: Kris Pruive. Instead of a large, crowded market, you'll discover a small and intimate Christmas market where a welcoming atmosphere and local craftspeople take centre stage.

In the wooden Christmas chalets, local entrepreneurs and residents offer a delightful selection of gifts and treats, from handmade presents to seasonal delicacies. Still looking for something special to put under the Christmas tree? You've come to the right place!

Enjoy a glass of mulled wine, a hot chocolate or a locally brewed beer as you explore. There's plenty for children to enjoy, and Santa Claus will also be stopping by. Kris Pruive is organised in collaboration with Buurt Rontjóm de Groote Kirk and is part of the Christmas programme in the city centre.

Combine your visit with a stroll through the beautifully illuminated streets and discover the shops, cosy cafés and restaurants in the city centre.
