In 1954, Dutch professional football took shape with the founding of Fortuna ’54. After a merger with Sittardia in 1968, the present-day Fortuna Sittard was formed. The club is regarded as one of the pioneers of professional football in the Netherlands and proudly carries on this rich history to this day.
